Yes! I also remember a conference on Dracula I attended a while ago, and the professor presented called our attention by pointing out how one kills a vampire:

- You cut their heads so they don't think

- You put garlics on their mounth so they won't speak

- You put a stake through their hearts so they don't feel

- And since they're ungodly creatures you don't feel remorse in doing so.

This applied mostly to vampiresses (like the the Brides of Dracula), but I think much of it applies to the Count as well.
